Hobbylinc currently has the Estes Make it Take it E2x bulk pack of 25 kits on special this week at
24% off. About $2.08 per kit!

Thanks, Guy. I'll keep this info handy but I think merit badges should require attaching the fin for themselves.

I agree, but the kits with fins requiring attachment seem to run twice as much. Hobbylinc also has many other bulk kit options, and not just Estes.

The actual merit badge requirement does not specify fin type. I have found in a group build session, the fin units save a lot of time and stress! Plus, we at least know they will fly straight!

I will be helping Troop 205 on 3/17 with their rocket build. When does the 2014 launch schedule get posted so they can plan their launch?

FlisKits has a couple kits with interlocking fins that are easy to build and great for a Scout project.

We did the Thing-a-ma-Jig with my Son's troop last year and those flew very well.

Available in bulk pack kits.
