What do you think the smallest dual deploy( reasonable) would be? Not a micro rocket or anything but like a small estes kit modded. I have a field i can fly small stuff to 800' or so, is that enough to realistically utilize dd? I would like to try it on a D motor or smaller rocket, any recommendations?

The smallest thing you can fit all the parts in will do. You need a payload section big enough to hold the altimeter and battery. Since you've got a cable cutter you really don't need much extra room in the booster section.

800' is plenty. 400' would do if your altimeter will let you deploy the main around 200'.

A Flis Rhino with an extra nose block should be all you need.

That's going to take some specialized vet to treat that.

I have been looking at e-bays for bt-60 tubes. Its tight but looks doable. I saw a pic of a guys bay that he used a mini xmas tree light bulb base for the charge cup, any ideas on that? looking to keep it light and I think a pvc or copper cup would get heavy.

centrifuge tubes

I have some you can have. I've used them held in place in a small piece of BT-5 body tube and I've also put them on the end of a long piece of wire to get under the parachute. You'd think they get tangled but they never do.

I drill a small hole in the bottom, slide the leads from a Q2G2 through it, and hot glue the hole.
