You are not imagining it. There has been some talk with the land owner and, I think, the town. There is some info on The Rocktry Forum in one or another thread.

CPUTommy is spearheading the effort. get a hold of him through the CMASS members list to find out the latest.

In the meantime, Berwick, Maine, is only a short 2 hours away from you and the Maine Missile Math & Science Club (MMMSC) has launches twice a month. 10,000-ft waiver up to M-impulse.

I'll let you be your own judge for the latter part of the sentence but, as to the former, I would think you couldn't carry too many rockets on your bicycle.

At least not without getting stopped by the local authorities a lot.
