I think using Zoom for some virtual meetings is a great idea. Zoom is pretty easy to use.

Do you have to create an account to just be a client? I know you have to have an account for hosting.

I also think it would be easier to actually build stuff and maybe show off our workshops. I usually bring something to work on, but I almost always forget something crucial.

I spend several hours a day in Zoom calls. It's pretty easy and reliable.

You can sign up for a free Zoom account that allows 45 minute meetings.

That's my plan. I'll set something up this weekend for Tuesday night.

Sounds great. If Zoom conks out, I have a Webex account which we can also use for Video Conferencing. I'm using that every day.

I like the idea of an online meeting, but am a bit concerned about Zoom.
As its use has grown, a number of issues have emerged:
- not actually end-to-end encrypted
- SpaceX banned its use
- then there's "ZoomBombing"

Ars Technica, however, has some mitigation tips .

But hey, I won't even use The Facebook, so maybe none of this bothers anyone else.
