499 sec for B SD is insane! Must have been done with an FAI rolled paper airframe and a helium-filled mylar balloon nosecone & streamer!

Trying to hit anything over 30s with a beautifully finished, strongly built kit rocket, which will survive multiple launches and hard landings is my challenge. But a contest like this is good motivation to step up my "game."

Planning to try my next B SD attempt with a lightly built (but still finished) Flis Kits Flea, and an external Kevlar shock cord attached at the burned-out CG for extra drag on descent. (Preferably on a cold day for favorable air density & drag.)

Where can I find the complete rules for all rocket competition events?
the NAR website seems to only show partial requirements, not specific requirements of the rocket itself...

Can someone attempt a NAR record at a CMASS event, or does it have to be at an official NAR launch?

It has to be at an officially sanctioned NAR contest, but they do have a contest type called "Record Trial", which is specifically for the purpose of setting records. I believe that any NAR member apply for a contest sanction, so in theory you could sanction a Record Trial at any CMASS launch.

The procedure is in the Pink Book, which I linked previously.

For contests, is it one at a time, or can multiple contestants launch at the same time? I am looking forward to the O-motor snowblower streamer duration Drag Race! Is there VMAX O?

Guy.
