TARC 2013

The parking lot has not been plowed. Kenn thinks it might be accessible if you have 4WD or AWD and your vehicle is high enough to clear the snow. If you're not sure if you can get through the snow, please don't tryl. The nearest clear parking lot is at the Cashman School on Lion's Mouth Rd. Let's meet there at 11:30 and we'll figure out how to shuttle people and equipment to the parking lot.

As it turned out, the parking wasn't that big a deal. I as able to get the truck and trailer in and out of the parking lot without getting stuck.

We got the sun and relatively warm temperatures that were forecast and as a bonus the winds were light for the early part of the afternoon.

We were set up by a little after noon but nobody brought anything up to fly for over an hour. I attempted to make a snowman to kill time. I was not successful.

Evidently there's more than one thing that I'm not good at.

Just a note about the TARC launch on the 23rd, practice will be allowed but it will be the last chance to fly your qualifying flights with CMASS. Practice early (noon to 2 pm) and get your qualifying flights in well before the 4 pm end of the day.
