The April 20 launch for Amesbury has been registered with the NAR for NRC flying. Open to all events.

See you there.

Thanks!

Can the club provide an NAR standard payload, or do I provide my own? If the club or CD provides one, what are its dimensions? The Pink Book specifies a minimum diameter and length, but not a maximum.

If I need to provide one, where can I obtain an NAR standard payload, or should I build my own?

Also, I’d be happy to help with timing or other duties.

I think I still have one from my competition days. If I do, you're welcome to borrow it if I make it to the launch on Saturday. I'll probably be there if the weather's OK.

The length depends on how dense your sand is. IIRC, the minimum was set to keep people from gaining an unfair advantage by using some super dense stuff (metal powder of some sort) and being able to use a shorter, more aerodynamic, payload section.

Edit:  I checked my range box and I do have one.  It's 2.75" long.
