I will be 70 years old at the end of the month. That got me to wonder about a few things:
Who holds the record as the oldest active CMASS rocketeer of all time?
Who is the current oldest active CMASS rocketeer?
Who is the oldest person to ever fly a rocket with CMASS?

Please note that I do not use REDs (Rocket Enhancing Drugs)

Frank, congradulations on your upcoming milestone Birthday. We will have to do a bandit launch.

The NAR gave a membership profile at vNARCON, and it is a very bifurcated distribution. A large chunk of membership is 55 and up. Another is mid to early 20's, largely from all the college competitions.

Just speaks to the need that we keep need to encouraging young people and new BARs in order to keep the hobby strong.

Hi Curtis,
I like the idea of a Bandit launch to commemorate my birthday. Tuesday, April 30th is my actual birthday. The Parks and Recreation schedule shows that the Acton field is free until 5:30 PM.

I agree that we need more people from all demographics to get involved with rocketry. From what I have observed from working at an advertising agency, digital media is the best way to reach out to people. I honestly believe that if more people knew about rocketry, they would love it. I learned about CMASS from attending an Air and Space day held in Tewksbury in 2003. Then I went to an Amesbury launch and my family and I were all in.

I'll talk to some of our marketing people for ideas.
