night launch idea was created by billspad
The flood of pre Christmas email has begun. One that I got today looked like it might have potential for a night rocket. They're using ping pong balls as diffusers for LEDs.

Speaking of night launch... I'm contemplating to build a rocket with xenon strobe. Like this one .

File Attachment:

The only missing piece is G-switch or baro sensor to detect lift-off and start the strobe (we don't want the strobe to fire while on launch pad).

This company also used to carry 1.5V version. Lithium AA would be able to run it for some time.

Bring sunglasses...

Why not?

If you need a G-switch I have one. Found it while attempting to clean my bench.

What are the odds Jimmy Hoffa will show up somewhere on the bench?

At this point nothing would surprise me. I've found a few things that I vaguely remember buying.
