As you may have heard, the Amesbury field will not be hayed by this Saturday and it is reserved by other groups for the next two Saturdays after that. Our next Amesbury launch will be on October 13 and the Fliskits Anniversary will be celebrated at that launch. While we have the field rserved for the 14th as a rain date, the trailer hauler will be unavailable. But you don't have to wait until October to fly. We going to hold a joint launch with MMMSC in Berwick on September 29.
There seems to be some confustion about the launch fees at these launches so let me try to clear things up. CMASS and MMMSC are two different NAR sections although we have a lot of common members. MMMSC has a $5 launch fee for all their launches. At launches that are designated as joint launches CMASS Season Pass members don't have to pay the $5 fee because CMASS is reimbursing MMMSC. At other MMMSC launches your CMASS Season Pass will get you a warm welcome but nothing else. You'd get the warm welcome without it too. We encourage CMASS members who fly in Maine to support MMMSC and become members of both clubs.
The schedule shows a launch on October 20th. Assuming we have the launch on 10/13 we will not have a launch on 10/20.
The second meeting in October has been moved to Tuesday October 23.
