Fields for casual launch was created by Craig
Hi,

I hope this is the right area for this post. We recently moved to Marlborough, and with the weather getting nicer, my son wanted to try out our rockets, but not sure what fields would be open for casual launches (Just basic hobby shop size rockets). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig

Davis field in Sudbury is a good choice. There are directions on the club web site. There is soccer there through June on Saturdays. Sun mid afternoon is a good time. The Charles River Radio Flyers have a long standing reservation. If you a small group family, are courteous and respectful, and ask, they will generally let you fly off to the side out of their way. They often wind down by 2PM, so best to go after that But don't go when they have a big meet.

The club will be sponsoring launches there on May 20 and June 10,

I take the kids and do LPR stuff and it's best after 3:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Charles River guys are pretty much done and packing by then.

I have seen multiple families with LPR stuff out there at the same time.

Cheers,
Carl
