The competition for the TARC national finals was even stiffer this year than last. Cutoff for finalists was 13.2, with a 16.7 cutoff for alternates. Last year over 330 teams submitted results, this year over 400 did, resulting in a tightening up of the qualification threshold.
One school in CT is the only NE team to make the cut.
Hastings Middle School's best qualification flight score was just over 17. Paul, Jared and Connor are disappointed not to have a chance to participate in the finals this year, but are ready to ramp up their efforts for TARC 2013.
One of the most important life lessons is to persevere in the face of a difficult challenge.
Thanks to all the good folks at CMASS for your support for local TARC teams.
