I got some
photos
from Sampo Niskanen of Open Rocket fame of a launch his club held in Finland. Here's the text from his email:
Just today we had a rocket launch here. We've had a spell of really
cold weather for about a week now, and it was about -20C / -5F during
the launch, and half a meter of snow on the ground to plow through.
Even so, 13 people came and we had a rather nice launch.
During our winter hybrid launches we regularly have to recover
the rocket from the forest with 0.5-1 meters of snow... It was a bit
easier last time, as we had an exact GPS fix on it. Still, the
closest we could get to it by car was about a mile away, after which
we had to continue on skis / snowshoes.
