For any CMASS member who is looking for another chance to launch locally (ie. not attending NARAM), check this out:

Maine Launch

I haven't checked this out too much but South Berwick isn't that far away and even closer for many New Hampshire and Maine members.

A new group could use some support and it sounds like they have a pretty good size area available.

I'm very interested to hear how this goes. so take plenty of photos and post 'em somewhere.

Can't go to the July 23rd (same weekend as NYPower). But if it's a good one I want to get there in the future.

See ya

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to bring this thread back to the top to remind everyone about this opportunity.

Scott was at our 16 July launch and got his level 1. Nothing that big at their launch but bring your own launch gear and enjoy a large, level field.

Very cool. The field is a turf farm approx 0.75 miles in diameter in S. Berwick ME. I had seen their field on the sat images last winter while looking for an alternate HP field for CMASS. However the feild is only a couple miles away from Skyhaven airport in Rochester, NH,,,and about 15 miles to the Air Guard unit at Portsmouth International Airport,,, so I thought getting a waiver would be problematic since they are flying training missions on KC-135 tankers here pretty much 24/7. -Alan
