CMASS will provide launch equipement and witnesses for any TARC teams needing to practice or attempt qualifying flights. The launches will take place at the Woodsom Farm field in Amesbury, MA.
As a reminder, the results from TARC qualification flight attempts must be faxed or scanned and e-mailed to and received at the offices of the AIA by 11:59 PM Eastern time on Monday, 03 April 2017.
This is not an open club launch but we can use as many volunteers as we can get to help the process run smoothly. If any SLI/USLI teams need to get flights in for their program, please contact us to ensure we can provide the conditions you require.
First club launch of the season. Set up will be a further away from the high tension wires and, if the wind is coming from the east toward those wires, high power launches will be postponed and low- and mid-power launches will be permitted only to 1000-ft altitude or lower.
All of our club launches are open to the public. We love to have spectators and enjoy it even more when someone brings along their rockets to fly.
Set up will be at 9:30 with flying from 10:30 to 4:00 as conditions permit. Keep an eye on the website home page to see any notifications about delays.
Directions to the field are available under the Events/Directions tab at the top of the page.
