August 11, 2012 Acton Launch

 We had a pretty good day considering the dismal weather forecast. The School St. field was effectively twice its normal size because there was no corn planted this year. Anticipating bad weather, we set up only six pads in case we had to tear the range down in a hurry. The morning was actually partly sunny. We had gone past 100 flights around 2:00 when the weather radar showed bad weather headed in our direction. About five minutes after I decided we had about 45 minutes left until it rained the sky opened up. I'm pretty sure that's the fastest I've seen the range taken down. Or course it stopped raining as soon as we finished. There are pictures in the gallery and video in the forum.
