I have a tray assembly, in the middle on two small rods. This makes a regular duracell too big. Thanks for your links. Dominic.

I was trying to be brief. I have searched the rocketry forums and found a holder for 6 sr44 batteries at West Florida Components, part #HW214PE04. The altimeter bay is a 38mm, and the tray divides the interior space in half, top to bottom. A regular 9 volt is not an option. I was hoping for advice on what others have done. Thanks.

It depends on your electric matches. If you are using low-current ones, look at A23 battery - it is half the size of AA, provides 12V, cheap, light, fits "N" battery holder. If you need more current, look for small-capacity 2S LiPo (~7V) or two CR123A batteries (3V each).

Thanks Alex for the info. I have ordered 4 of the N battery holders, and also 12 SR44's. I will then use A23's after that, knowing now they will fit/work. Due to lack of room for even terminal blocks, I had ordered some long Q2G2's over the winter. These will be inserted into my glove tips, and through a glue seal on bulkheads be wired directly to the SL100. This 38mm minimum diameter build will be baby-stepped flight wise until I manage to get a tracker on it. Thanks again, Dominic.
