Due to ongoing red flag fire conditions, we will be unable to conduct our launch in Amesbury on the 16th of November. We will see what we can do to reschedule in December.

To make it absolutely clear, CMASS does not allow "sparky" motors at any of our launches.

If you were at the launch there would be no doubt in your mind that summer is gone. The day started out cloudy, cold and windy and improved to sunny, chilly and windy by the end. The good news is that the wind was blowing down the long dimension of the field. With a little skill you could land your rocket close to the pads. With a little less skill you could combine your trip to recover your rocket and a trip to the portable toilets in one. Once again the miserable weather forecast kept attendance down but even so we had around 180 flights from MicroMaxx up to J. October 20, 2012 Amesbury Fliskits Anniversary Launch

After just about every possible reason for a delay you could imagine, we finally got to hold our first launch of the fall in Amesbury. This is also the Fliskits anniversary launch and Jim generously picks up the cost of the field and brings a cake. Turnout for the launch was lighter than expected. Evidently many people did not believe the CMASS president's forecast of nice weather. Those who did show up enjoyed pleasant weather and managed to get in 268 flights.
