I've done scale modeling my whole life, but I can't say I've ever heard of this.  I've always just used clear-coat spray paint.

Well your chance to try it out is rapidly vanishing. I think Future gained its popularity in the eighties as acrylics were making more inroads to the hobby. It didn't have the noxious vapors of things like the Testors clear and it could be quickly and easily applied in spot application by brush. It's become the go-to in scale model decal surface prep ever since.

You've probably had it as a dessert topping.

I've seen that happen when it goes on too thick or when it drips - especially on white color subjects.

 

That's probably what I did. How do/did you apply it?

Well considering I've always used flat paints on my Saturn V I shouldn't be surprised That I've never heard of it.    Of course Tony PV is what I consider an outlier when it comes to finish on a rocket...

I think I figured out why I've never heard or tried this.  This spray-on Future stuff is most likely some form of spray on acrylic, right?  I'm not so much anti-acrylic as I am Pro-Enamel.
