Yes, we've been doing night launches of lighted rockets after many of our November launches for 15 years or so. The night launch is much less formal than our regular launches. We limit the rockets to low- and mid-power motors and it's best to keep the flights under 500 feet.
LED's are the best light source. Glow sticks are not a great option; they don't put out enough light to be seen from any distance.
