LDRS 42

I was wondering i anyone from the club was planning on attending LDRS 42 being hosted by URRG in Potter, NY?
We will be going at the beginning of the week to do some sight seeing, then attending LDRS at the end of the week.

I will not be attending LDRS 42 this year. I will be attending a METRA launch the weekend before LDRS. I went to an LDRS at Geneseo in 2004. It was very exciting to see all the big rockets, all the rocket and food vendors. An LDRS is a good opportunity for a certification flight. I have never been to Potter, NY. What is the field and area like?

LDRS is always a good time. The field in Potter is enormous, It's your typical agricultural farm field (I believe it's onion crops). It does get quite nasty if it rains though.
Dave and Greg will turn 18 the Friday we are there and are planning on trying for their L1cert.
I've flown with METRA before, their field at Torry farm is incredible. I do however, prefer the ride through upstate NY versus navigating the city on the way to Maryland.

I will be going to LDRS. Staying with Howard and Guy and Jim. I will be giving my cluster rocketry talk at TRITECH, Thursday 7PM. My son from Rochester will be meeting me for part of the time.
