On the website, the date for the October 14 launch is listed as October 8. The October 21 launch has not been changed to October 28.

Does this mean there is not a launch planned for Amesbury on October 8th?

You are correct. There will NOT be a launch on Sunday October 8th. The club just had a launch last Sunday, October 1st. The remaining launches for the 2023 season are:
Saturday, October 14th Amesbury.
Saturday, October 28th Amesbury.
Saturday, November 11th Amesbury.
The November 11th launch is a Joint Night Launch with NORG after the day's launch.
