WestRocks!

Hey guys, 

After a while of engaging some of our WHS community with the Updates on the Westboro Rocket Association, I decided to make this thread as an outlet for reports/updates on projects, news, etc. 

Hopefully we can grow more of our community here!

Westboro as is Westboro, MA? I work in that town. Do they have a place to launch?

Yessir, Westboro MA. 

We currently do not have an official launch site yet, but will likely set one up once our NAR section status has kicked in. Our first site will likely be WHS for LPR rockets. We are also eyeing Tufts, but we'll have to reach out. TARC launches will need relatively large sites like Acton.. We'd be open to any suggestions.

What is the motivation for the club? CMASS flies often and is really organized and well run. There is nothing wrong with more clubs. Just curious why in this case.

Well, I originally started the school club back in July to fly for TARC and recreation, but then it grew from there, more so to extend beyond the original frame and to engage the outside community as well.

That Tufts field would be a great score. Fingers crossed.
I've visited Veteran's Freedom Park a couple of times. It's a bit tight with the band of trees in the middle, but might be good for "sneaking in" some A and B launches. But what with the club launches and the new SVRS club, I seem to have plenty of ways to "get.
my fix." Good luck with your efforts!
