With our second NRC launch and a change in some of the logistics the process becomes a bit clearer.

- The Contest Flight Card (CFC) is submitted with the CMASS Flight Card to the RSO. After the flight the card may be put on the clipboard on the table or (as at the last launch) chair behind the RSO. Flight results should be recorded on the flight card. Ideally, the CD should record the results, but one of the timers or the RSO may also record a result.

- A new CFC is not needed for a second flight. Rather, take your CFC from the clipboard and hand it in with your CMASS card when you are making the second flight.

- NRC flying is intended to be done in the NAR contest format. As a general statement this means each contestant gets two flight per event. In duration events the sum of the two flights is the final score. In altitude events the higher result is the final score. Note that in altitude events the raw altitude is adjusted by the ambient temperature.

- Two different rockets may be flown in an event, but each contestant still has only two flights per event.

- The last two launches have seen a number of flights to trial rockets, motors and combinations to see what works best. This is encouraged, but for purposes of the NRC only two contest flights per competitor per event are possible. Among other things, the recording of data and upload to the NAR Scoreboard does not permit uploading information on more than 2 flights for an event.

I hope that this clarifies some aspects of NRC flying.

Good information, Steve, thank you. And thank you again for setting this up. Here's hoping for a little less wind if we do this next time.
