vNARCON 2026 Manufacts Highlights

I was only available to check in on vNARCON on the middle of the Manufacturer's forum, starting with NewWay Rocketry.

Anything of interest from those previous manufacturer presentations? The G55 from RCS is intriguing, though not available (if at all) until 2027, iirc. In general, it sounded like Aerotech was going to take this year to figure out how to best manage both their consumer and military sides.

Glider stuff from J&H Aerospace was also cool.

Hi, I got on during the 2nd R+D report and stayed through manufacturer's forum (I really wanted to hear the first R+D report ...had trouble getting on, so I will look for the recording).

I thought the Nimbus 2000 rocket from Max Q rocketry looked interesting, as a 3d printed odd roc. He held it up briefly. I looked on his website and didn't see it. Maybe there are licensing issues ??? or it is discontinued?

The biggest and most interest announcements were from Aerotec:

  • Will work very hard at getting order delivery time down
  • No new products to be released during 2026
  • Karmen line 20K $ challenge, and selling N-motors to rocketeers pursing that contest
  • Discontinued their seasonal offerings (which include glider motors ... too bad)
  • Will be greatly pruning 400 item motor product line. I have always puzzled about this. Anybody with zero marketing skills can see this is a terrible proposition for a small company to maintain so many products, many of the overlapping. This is smart for them, but we will likely see some of our favorite motors go away
  • Looking for ignitor source for micromax motors

I think that losing the ONLY usps shippable j motor like the J520 (which Aerotech relegated to the seasonal program) is particularly unfortunate.

Ending the seasonal program removes 35 motors from the 400 right off the top

Makes me particularly sad... The 520 was a great motor.

Unfortunately I could not attend after all.
