Here's a picture that I built years ago, and showed off when we did various public rocket show and tells. I'm thinking of one that we did in Tewksbury, maybe around the same time that we did the 1000 rocket launch .



I put it up on an F13 on its maiden voyage. It found the first tree it could on descent, and I had to borrow one of Bill's rocket retrieval poles to get it down a week later. Much damage bringing it down.

I'm wondering if anyone has any creative ideas on repairing the fairings. Back when it sustained the damage, Estes sent me some decals and an extra set of fairings and fins, both vacuum-formed. My sense is that I'll have to replace the fairings to repair them, but I'd rather avoid it, as attaching and painting is a PITA.
