Quest Q-Jet motors (C,D) was created by tlainhart

Anyone have experience with the C or D 18mm Q-Jet motors to share, esp. on the latter? Where did you end up buying them from?

Spare time shop had a full rack of them last time I was there a few weeks back... I've never used them... don't like how they "hissssss"

I've flown 2 C12-4 motors so far (purchased from Aerospace Speciality Products during one of their recent sales). I really like the motors - the igniters not-so-much. I have had 2 out of 4 igniters fail so far. I'll be using the throughout the summer - hopefully I'll have better success with the igniters.

Once John Petrakis showed me how to properly install the ignitors, I have had good luck with the few C12-4's that I have launched. I launched one last Saturday at the MWRB launch. I have one left.

The two dangling ends should be outside the motor.
