Vanishing America - Hobby Shops

My sister alerted me to a "very sweet piece" on NPR's Marketplace Morning Report that involved model rocketry. Here is the website with the podcast. It's the 03 May 2021 and the Vanishing America segment starts at about 4:35 in.

There are now multiple podcasts with today's date on the page. The one you want is "Figuring out the structure of infrastructure". Gotta love it when the host is into the subject!

Did I hear the host say that he launched a "2-stage version of the Explorer Aquarius on a D-21"? Implying that he didn't light both stages, and further implying that he modified the build for that stage.

I've listened to this guy for years and wouldn't have guessed him as a rocketeer. I guess they really do walk among us.
