Eggtimer altimeter assembly jam was created by curtisheisey
I've had excellent luck assembling Eggtimer altimeters. I will plan to bring my soldering equipment (I use a pressure solder paste dispense and a toaster oven as a reflow oven) to the Dec 17th meeting and offer an assembly jam for anyone wanting to assemble/fix their Eggtimer..

- If you have an unassembled Eggtimer, bring it, and we will put it together.

- If you have a botched assembly, we can try to repair it.

- Also, Cris Irving of Eggtimer has great black Friday prices. See this TRF thread www.rocketryforum.com/threads/the-famous...155866/#post-1936029. Sale ends Dec 2nd. so don't delay

The Eggtimer proton is a great deal. Six programmable channels for $50.

It's that time of the year again, when Eggtimer fans of the past, present, and future take advantage of the joy of the holidays and save big bucks (which can be used to buy motors or "that" kit that you've been pining for). Since we don't like being haunted by spirits at 4:00 am in order to get some sweet rocketry deal, our sale is going to run from Saturday Nov. 16th through Monday Dec. 2nd.

We have inventory on almost everything, but due to the nature and the volume involved in this sale it is highly possible (if not likely...) that we might run out of something. If we do, we'll let you know, and get busy making more of them. Nobody's going away empty-handed... you just might have to wait a week or so if we run out. If you're giving something as a gift, be sure to let us know, and order early... our email is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Curtis,

I am very interested in this. I have two Eggtimer kits I bought on a special Chris had back in 2014. They are both unassembled, and one is even unopened. They are board rev D/Firmware 1.48b kits that I never got around to putting together. What else besides a couple of magnifying glasses would be good to bring for a build session? Thanks!

Guy.

I own two Eggtimer Quantums, one Proton, and I just ordered three more Quantums (Quanta?). My soldering set up is pretty simple, just a 15W soldering iron with a fine tip. I'll see if I can find some time on 12/17 to join the party.

I can actually make the meeting tomorrow 11/19, so bring your stuff.

The Hatch center has a good soldering station.

Bring SMD tweezers (or ones with really knife tips), if you have them.

Here is a tutorial:

I have the paste depsenser, compressor, reflow toaster oven with controller.

We can do a dry run tomorrow, but will probably need to order some more solder paste
