I am not familiar with the Estes NCR series. When were they in production? It sounds like another great series that Estes stopped making, similar to the PSII builder series.

NCR by Estes was "North Coast Rocketry by Estes" - Estes purchased the business in the 90's and then the Dark Lord Tunick closed it ~2000. Great rockets and 29mm motors. The only caveat was that their "29mm" motors were really something like 28.5mm, and so if you wanted to use Aerotech motors, you needed to swap out the MMT during the build (which I did for my builds).

Here's an interesting thread on the F62 motor: https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/printthread.php?t=16491&pp=40

Gotta say this Zephyr looks like a nice kit... too bad I have so many kits already!

From checking out the Apogee web site I can see that the Zephyrs are selling very well. Perhaps the hotdog lady will get me one for my birthday which is at the end of April. It is a great looking rocket.

A nice six part video series on how to build the Zephyr. Tim rushes through the steps to get it done which I found amusing. I would probably do some of the tasks one at a time in order to let the epoxy dry.

Since I've been posting pictures, thought that I would post a North Coast Rocketry "Interceptor G", as NCR was discussed in this thread.
