I've heard of STEM but this is the first I've heard of STEAM (is the A for "and"?).

In any case, my local elementary school in Arlington is hosting a STEAM night this Thursday, May 11, from 6pm-8pm, and want to have a rocketry table. "Bringing some rockets by and showing them off is fine, or perhaps running a laptop with videos of rocket launches. " I can't make it, but said I would ask around.

The A is for "Arts". I don't really get how the A part got added to STEM initially but if it gets more kids involved then everybody wins ! (A wicked paint job or steampunked or odd-roc very is cool).
