CMASS held its annual Winter Follies launch on Saturday, January 11, at the School Street field in Acton, MA. There was light snowfall all day long, but the winds were mild, and a surprising number of fliers showed up, including two Lexington High ARC teams. The woods claimed their share of rockets (although Guy was able to retrieve one ensnared rocket) and we still had way too many flights overflying spectators.
Towards the end of the day, the RC aircraft club showed up and began to shovel clear a large area for takeoff and landing, even as the snow continued to fall. Nice to know that we are not the only crazies.
