As the weather forecast went downhill over the week, I thought it was going to be a lonely day in Acton. I was wrong!  At one point there were at least 36 cars and 50 people. This is impressive because I'm sure this was our coldest Winter Follies launch ever. The day started out with single digit temperatures but the wind was light and there were no clouds in the sky. We dispensed with the formality of flight cards because taking your gloves off to write one would not have been fun. I do wish we counted the number of flights because there were quite a few. We had a couple of TARC teams and an SLI team doing some practice flights. Jim Salem (Howard too) did not land anything in the trees! However, Jim does get credit for the scariest flight of the day when a bad nozzle sent his crayon rocket horizontal over our heads. Thanks to Jim of Fliskits and Jason of AMW for showing up to sell stuff. There are a few many pictures in the gallery and I hope some of the in flight video surfaces.
